Back from the Amazon Jungle - Preview

This was an exciting adventure, well documented by our cameras. A lot of stories we have recorded straight from the mouth of the team members in real time on the ground.
Did they fear for their life...? absolutely did. Organized retreat to a safer location...? had to do it! Did they quickly sharp sticks to spears using their machetes...? oh yeah! very quick! Yes they did!
All was there: team anxiety, sleepless nights, excitement, physical and mental endurance challenges, hunts for food, unique encounter incidents with the jungle wildlife and with the Amazonian indigenous people, and more.
Many real adventure elements I was hoping for has happened on this expedition.
Will EXPEDITION AMAZON's adventurers join me on my next adventures? In a heartbeat...so they say.
The up coming meet up event of Sat. Mar.20, 2010 is about telling these stories by the people I have lead throughout the jungle. Video journal will be presented as well as free beer and BBQ. (see details on Eco-Planet Adventure facebook event page).
Hope to see you there.

For our fans and friends out of Florida and from around the world, we will stream live again, broadcasting the event via Ustream.tv.com. Will send you the broadcast details soon. You can sit then by your computer and interact live with EXPEDITION AMAZON team, online. (sorry, no free beer and BBQ for you...Your computer set cannot serve such :-)

GREETING EXPEDITION AMAZON TEAM

GREETING EXPEDITION AMAZON TEAM
At this time the Eco-Planet challenging exploration journey has begun. Back at home, we wish all our team members an amazing adventure filled with adrenalin rushes and great discoveries!
Scouting uncharted grounds of the Amazon basin in Ecuador, the team will put into action their life experience in adventure sports while challenging themselves to new limits. We greatly respect the enthusiasm and passion for nature by our Eco-Planet’s Adventurers team, and appreciate their adventure spirit that brought them here today.

ABOUT THE ADVENTURE
With Mickey Grosman leading EXPEDITION AMAZON, we are confident that our team will experience an unforgettable journey! This adventure trip takes them into the rural jungle and allows them to experience the wild, first-hand, while learning survival skills; its an adventure that will allow them to conquer their fears and let them challenge themselves beyond their personal limits.
From the snowcap glaciers of the Andes at 16,000 feet altitude, down to the remote jungle of the Amazon basin at about sea level, EXPEDITION AMAZON is all about daily challenges: The team does a fair amount of extreme expeditions, some of which includes hiking 10 miles a day in dense jungle environment - mainly over rough terrain. Other activities include mountain climbing, off-road mountain biking, white water rafting and rappelling of waterfall cascades that reach as high as 300 feet. They maneuver their ways along the Amazon Basin Rivers by using primitive dugout canoes and self-built Balsa rafts. They practice jungle survival skills as they interact with the remote Amazonian indigenous tribes and encounter endless wildlife, fauna and flora the rainforest offers. Anacondas, Jaguars, Monkeys, Piranhas and toucans are only few to mention.

ABOUT MICKEY, ECO-PLANET ADVENTURE FOUNDER
Years ago, with a far-reaching vision and lots of imagination, Mickey Grosman began dreaming of Xtreme Challenge Adventures in locations where footprints of men are sparse, yet tracks of wildlife are always abundant. His urge for challenges kept him coming back to the Amazon Rainforest where he was inspired to spread the thrill of Eco-adventures travel and the passion for Ecuador’s wild nature with adventurers like himself.
Months of preparations, logistics, innovations and creativity - while staying in the rural jungle and living among the Amazon indigenous - resulted in this amazing adventure we wish to share with you today. Mickey Grosman, the founder of ECO-PLANET ADVENTURE, his life experience and years of service in the IDF-Israeli Defense Special Forces, accompanied by his immense energy and endless courage, prepared him to overcome any obstacles on his way to achieve such a dream-adventure.

ABOUT THE AMAZON BASIN INDIGENOUS
Sharing his Eco-adventure plans and logistical solutions with his friends of the Amazon, Mickey found the indigenous to be very curios but somewhat skeptical. No travelers before have dared to visit their land - located deep within the dense jungle. Logistically, having travelers coming their locations was impossible, as no roads lead into the remote Rainforest, nor have any river routes followed directly from civilization back to their neck of the woods. Mickey presented the tribes with his eco-adventure plans and technical solutions while focusing on the creation of a coexistent relationship between Nature, the Amazon indigenous, and Eco-planet adventurers.
Understanding their culture and traditional values by listening to their needs, we, at Eco-Planet Adventure support the development of ecotourism among the small remote communities of Ecuador and provide them with an alternative source of income and a direct economic incentive that strongly and undoubted benefits the Rainforest conservation and reforestation.
The indigenous of the Amazon basin that host EXPEDITION AMAZON are grateful for the support and care pointed in their direction, in the shape and in the name of Eco-challenge adventures. They are fully involved in the daily activities of our adventures and share with us their life experience in the forest.
